This award honors Professor Satya Atluri who founded ICCES, and who, at Georgia Tech, UCLA, and UCI, played a significant role in research and educational activities in the areas of theoretical, applied, and computational mechanics.

This Medal, the highest to be given by ICCES, is established by Tech Science Press and ICCES, and carries a stipend of $2,500, to enable the recipient to deliver a Plenary Lecture at the ICCES conference in the year in which the Medal is given.

ERIC REISSNER AWARD
The ICCES ERIC REISSNER AWARD is given to a researcher, from anywhere in the world, in recognition of her/his contributions to any area germane to the ICCES conferences, and in recognition of her/his services to ICCES. This award honors Professor Eric Reissner, who for nearly 60 years at MITand at UCSD, played a significant role in educating several generations of students in the areas of theoretical, applied, and computational mechanics.

T.H.H. PIAN AWARD
The ICCES T.H.H. PIAN AWARD is given to a researcher, from anywhere in the world, in recognition of her/his contributions to any area germane to the ICCES conferences, and in recognition of her/his services to ICCES. This award honors Professor THH Pian, who for nearly 50 years at MIT, played a significant role in educating several generations of students in the areas of structural and computational mechanics.

The ICCES MEDAL
The ICCES Medal is given to a researcher, from anywhere in the world, for her/his sustained contributions to any area which is germane to the ICCES conferences, and in recognition of her/his services to ICCES.

WASHIZU AWARD
The ICCES WASHIZU AWARD is given to a researcher, whose origins are in the country of Japan, in recognition of her/his contributions to any area germane to the ICCES conferences, and in recognition of her/his services to ICCES. This award honors Professor Kyuichiro Washizu, for his legendary contributions to variational methods and computational mechanics, in the last century.

W-Z. CHIEN AWARD
